Wow- I can’t believe that it has been 15 years since I last updated this profile. I guess time flies when you’re having fun. I don’t know about you, but every year seems to go by faster and faster.

Paul and I are both retired from the jobs we were trained to do, but we seem to be busier than ever. Paul is a woodworker and general handyman around our house. He fell off a ladder two years ago and broke his wrist. The orthopedic hand and wrist specialist said it was the worst fracture he had ever seen. Paul had two external stabilizers with a tension rod between them to hold the bones in place. His wrist was so shattered, the doctors could not pin it. After a year of hard work, therapy and determination he can use his left hand (dominant hand) and has returned to do the things he loves. He got up on water skis, down- hill skis and creates beautiful works of wood in his workshop. We are very thankful for the recovery he made.

I am a volunteer with 2 organizations. The BRICK is a food shelf, resource center where I work 1 day a week, and The Ashland Education Foundation is a grant giving organization to help the teachers of the Ashland school district do wonderful things with their students . I really enjoy reading the grant proposals and working to raise the funds to give grants to the teachers. In my spare time I have a lot of fun with my sewing machine and reading books.

Our dachshund, Stretch, keeps me going on walks and enjoying the beautiful countryside where I live.

Andrew , our oldest works for Dreamworks. He is a mathematician who creates the algorithms that create the animation. He is married to Heidi and they live in Westlake Village, California. He is one of those fortunate people that have their vocation be their avocation. He loves lego and role playing games to this day. Luckily, Heidi loves him enough to tolerate a whole room in their condo devoted to lego.

Anna , our middle child, is a stay at home mom. She has our one and only grandchild (Cora). She is a wonderful mother and does amazing things with Cora. They were here for 2 weeks to visit us. After the reunion we will fly to Colorado to celebrate Cora’s fifth birthday. Rob (Anna’s husband) is one of the three owners of a computer software company.

Jake , the youngest is a Presbyterian minister in Howard Lake, Minnesota. He serves a small church in a rural community about an hour west of the Twin Cities. His wife Kate is a guidance counselor at Southwest High School in Minneapolis. They are avid gardeners, hikers and love to be outside.

I hope I will see many of you in September. My memories of high school include many of you, and I hope we can share those memories together.

Eileen
